TALLAHASSEE – “Florida’s fight for holding the drug distributors and manufacturers accountable for their share of the opioid crisis is stronger today as a result of Attorney General Bondi’s announcement. General Bondi has made an outstanding selection in choosing Clif Curry, of the Curry Law Group, P.A. and Rich Newsome, of Newsome Melton, P.A. on Florida’s team fighting for justice from the opioid distributors and manufacturers. Both Clif and Rich are active members of the Florida Justice Association, and Rich served as president in 2010 – 2011. The experience that they represent in litigation of this size will serve as an incredible boon to Florida’s taxpayers.

“The opioid epidemic has spread a wave of death and social depletion to families across our state and nation that has impacted every citizen in some way. I’m confident, on behalf of the people of Florida, with Clif and Rich working together with the Attorney General and other members of the team, our state will take the fight directly to pharmaceutical drug distributors and manufacturers and hold them accountable for the harm they have caused too many people, including our taxpayers.”
