The FJA Auto Negligence Seminar offers education on cutting-edge topics so that you can be prepared for what’s coming in the future – with or without you!
This seminar will cover many new issues for auto negligence practitioners such as updates on ride sharing services like Uber and Lyft, the new green light for beta-testing autonomous commercial vehicles on Florida’s interstate highways, and the VW emissions and Takata Airbag cases.
We will cover the essential foundations for auto cases. The Voir Dire session, presented by Catfish Abbott, will cover the proper methodology for preserving your record on appeal and how to strike jurors who are putting accident victims at a disadvantage from the start. The Collateral Sources session, presented by the seminar Co-Chair Melvin Wright, will cover the common mistakes made by judges and practitioners.
FJA Deputy Executive Director and General Counsel, Paul Jess, will will address many of the legislative threats and opportunities we may face this upcoming session. For example, major issues will include possible or even repeal of PIP and making Bodily Injury Liability Coverage mandatory.
This will be one of many incredible seminars offered at the FJA Masters of Justice. Click here to see the full program for each of the four specialized seminars. We look forward to seeing you there!
