Attorneys, clients, and lawmakers all say they want “just the facts”. But, too often, facts are clouded by slanted perspectives or deliberate misinformation.
By commissioning objective, independent research, the FJA Research and Education Foundation serve as a counterbalance to erroneous reports and statements that harm Floridians and undermine their ability to get a fair hearing as each step of the legal process.
When the Foundation calls for research on key legal issues – and their impact on Floridians – the results help foster and improve an understanding of the justice system and each Floridian’s role in the system.
Through our education initiatives, the FJA Research and Education Foundation
-
- Promotes the importance of professional, respectable legal standards
- Provides educational information related to constitutional or public policy issues
- Brings the specialty of trial practice to the attention of law students, university faculty, government officials and agencies, and the general public
- Funds appropriate public educational activities in partnership with the Florida Justice Association
Improving The Legal Outcome
The FJA Research and Education Foundation has a straightforward mandate – promote the study and understanding of Florida’s justice system and the ways preserving this system benefits consumers, victims, and all Floridians.
The Foundation is developing an exemplary series of educational programs to make trial lawyers better at what they do and make Floridians more knowledgeable about what they can – and should – expect us to do on their behalf.
By commissioning independent, objective research on key legal issues and their impact on Floridians, the Foundation works constantly to foster and improve an understanding of the justice system and each Floridian’s role in the system.
