Part 1 – The Discovery Webinar

• What’s the right way to ask for in request for productions?
• How do you do the best interrogatories to get the exact answers you’re looking for in your case to help shape it?
• What do you do in pre-suit discovery before you ever file the suit?

Part 2 – The In-Person Deposition College

August 4, 2026, 9 AM-5 PM

After the webinar, registrants will take the insights learned and attend a one-day, in-person deposition college workshop being held in conjunction with the FJA 2026 Christian D. Searcy Voir Dire and Al J. Cone Trial Advocacy Institutes. This is where you will learn how to do depositions. You’re going to learn:

• How to ask questions, how to listen, how to structure the questions.
• What documents do you need to prepare?
• How do you do take a Zoom deposition in today’s technology and what’s the most efficient way to do it?
• How do you prepare and execute?

Facilitators will work with you to practice your technique and provide real-time feedback. This will give participants the opportunity to improve skills and ultimately become a better lawyer. Use the information learned in this series to walk away with better skills than when you started.
